The Pack Team

James and Danielle Frost, here! Having grown up in Placerville and Camino we knew that there is no better or more supportive community to break into agriculture and start something new than in the heart of El Dorado County, California.

In 2020, we took a leap and started making our own wine (with the help of a local winery) and Pack String Wines began.

We named our label after the many family members, including ourselves, who have taken a pack string of mules or just the backpacks on our backs into the wilderness to work or explore. Each of our labels are drawn by Danielle and James based on a family photo.

In January 2021, we purchased a plot of land in Apple Hill where we plan to plant a vineyard and build a tasting room. We're working hard with the help of our families and friends to get the land into shape and we couldn't be more grateful for the support we've received and plan to pay it forward as we build Pack String Wines.

From Grapes to Glass

Our grapes were purchased from vineyards right here in El Dorado County. We work with three local and beautiful vineyards as well as an amazing team at Holly's Hill Vineyards to bring you some truly incredible wines.
